
E. David Luria Photography
E. David Luria is a Washington DC-based photographer, specializing in architecture, events, art/still life, restaurant, commercial, and landmark photography since 1995.
A member of the Association of Independent Architectural Photographers and the American Society of Media Photographers, Mr. Luria has had his images appear in over 100 publications, including TIME Magazine, Travel and Leisure Magazine, Prevention, Washingtonian, Washington Flyer, Washington Spaces, Now Magazine, Food and Wine, and Cuccina Italiana, in the Washington Post, the Entertainment Book, the Hamburger Abendblatt, and the Tokyo Shinbum newspapers. He is also a Contributing Photographer to WHERE-Washington Magazine, and he has done over, 2,500 property shoots for the Washington Post’s Apartment Showcase Magazine, whose publisher once called him "the best apartment photographer in Washington DC."
Trained in at the Parsons School of Design in Paris by a protege of Henri Cartier Bresson, Mr. Luria is also a frequent speaker and competition judge at local camera clubs in the DC area, including the National Press Club. He has done photography work for the National Cherry Blossom Festival, the Studio Theatre. Shakespeare Theatre, and the US Holocaust Memorial Museum. He has photographed over 200 restaurants in the DC area .and has done event and portrait photography for many corporate and non-profit organizations.He maintains a large stock of DC-area landmark photos available for sale. . Three of his DC images grace the 2015 calendar of the US Capitol Historical Society, including the calendar’s cover

Mr. Luria is also a teacher of photography. A member of the Society of Photographic Educators, he is founder and director of the popular Washington Photo Safari (www.WashingtonPhotoSafari.com ), through which he and his team of 12 instructors have trained over 30,800 amateur photographers since 1999 on 4,300 photo workshops in travel, architectural, portrait, wedding, nature, nighttime, museum, story-telling and pet photography. His Washington Photo Safari has received 2013 and 2014 Certificates of Excellence from Trip Advisor due to many favorable customer reviews
Fluent in Spanish, French, and German, Mr. Luria is a graduate of Amherst College and a US Army veteran. Prior to his career as a professional photographer, Mr. Luria was a senior executive with non-profit international development and citizen exchange organizations, such as CARE Inc., and Partners of the Americas.
